If you’ve ever eaten at an event or festival at the Swinomish Casino & Lodge, there’s a good chance Andrew was the man behind that tasty goodness. For the past seven years, he’s helped plan catering events for in-house guests, local clients, businesses and festivals. Before joining the Swinomish team, Andrew worked at various small kitchens where skilled chefs mentored him, teaching him practical kitchen techniques. His “school of hard knocks” helped fine tune and perfect his cooking skills, learning every day through hands-on experience. Andrew attributes his strength and success to his three children. Every day, he strives to improve and believes that everyone can always learn more and develop their skills — he stands by this and is always open to listening to others’ ideas and advice. What he enjoys most about serving our banquet clients’ needs is customizing and bringing new life to each event. He loves the fact that no two parties are ever the same. His favorite part is seeing the collaboration between his clients and banquets team transforms into a successful event. For Andrew, seeing people enjoy the variety of food and parties makes coming to work every day worth it.
