Featured Wines
Novelty Hill Chardonnay: Fresh and aromatic, the 2022 Novelty Hill Chardonnay bursts with crisp apple and Bosc pear woven around a warm core of baking spices. A sophisticated wine that shows verve and class, the fruit gains intensity on a rich, textured palate before finishing to leave a concentrated, toasty impression.
Spring Run Rosé: A bright, fragrant wine with delicious fresh strawberry and juicy watermelon aromas and flavors wrapped around a hint of lemon peel. Soft and approachable without being sweet, the finish lingers.
Novelty Hill Grenache: Washington Grenache continues to gain an enthusiastic following, and the only thing holding it back from all-star status is the limited number of vines planted in the state. Fortunately for Novelty Hill, the winery’s estate vineyard, Stillwater Creek, has proven to be an ideal site for this delicious grape. The 2022 Novelty Hill Grenache is a beautifully aromatic, medium-bodied wine displaying generous notes of wild strawberries and sweet cherries. Fresh and expressive on the palate, with layers of ripe red fruit and silky tannins that echo on a long, satisfying finish.
Andrew Januik Stone Cairn Cabernet Sauvignon: This beautiful violet colored wine delivers a variety of complex aromas, including candied cherries, currants, and chocolate. The front of the palate shows nice sweetness and fruit, which transitions into a well-structured mid-palate that displays more earthiness as well as subtle notes of new French oak. The finish is quite long and brimming with the bright acidity and dark fruit that is indicative of Red Mountain.
About Andrew Januik
Most winemakers have spent the majority of their lives in the industry, and Andrew Januik is no different. When he was just 13, he started working with wine on the weekends and full-time during his summers. The son of a world-renowned winemaker, Andrew was born with winemaking in his blood, and the proof is in the pressing. Every single one of the wines that Andrew has made since starting his eponymous label in 2011 has been rated above 90 points.
Regardless of his pedigree, it’s clear that Andrew’s passion is truly organic, driven not by legacy but by his personal love of the wine and its complexity, the precise science of the winemaking, and the unique climate of the Washington wine industry. A native to the PNW, Andrew is constantly carving time out of his ever-consuming work life to give back to the community that gave him so much. For years, he has been volunteering with local at-risk and homeless youth. With such a full plate, Andrew manages to keep a level head by venturing out in nature with his suspiciously sweet and rotund lab mix in tow.
