Director of Lodge Operations
With more than 10 years’ experience working in customer service fields, ranging from food service to medical claims, Amanda brings her knowledge and first-class personality to guests at the Swinomish Casino & Lodge. After moving from her hometown of Portland, Oregon to Hawaii in 2005, she earned a job at Lady Footlocker and was quickly promoted to assistant manager after just two months. Amanda’s dedication, excellent work ethic and bright personality helped her receive a position one year later at Sedgwick CMS, an insurance claim business, after she moved back to Portland. She built upon her knowledge and was promoted twice before moving to Anacortes in 2011. Before Swinomish Casino & Lodge’s renovations were completed in 2012, Amanda decided to apply her management and customer service expertise to a supervisor position at the Lodge. She appreciates and loves having the chance to work with her team and take advantage of team member wellness programs. Throughout her four-plus years here, Amanda has enjoyed learning about the casino and hospitality industry, as well as seeing the property continue to develop and grow. She plans on continuing her education by receiving a degree in hospitality and business.
