COVID-19 Vaccination Incentive Program

UPDATED: 9/22/2021 | 12:20pm

Full Incentive Letter Here: COVID-19 Incentive Program letter

As part of our continued efforts to keep our community healthy and safe, the Senate approved a one-time Swinomish Vaccination Incentive of $400 for Swinomish tribal members age 12 years and older and any employee of the Tribe or its entities who are fully vaccinated by Oct. 31, 2021. If a COVID-19 booster is recommended in the future, an additional $100 will be paid to eligible individuals at that time.

Full vaccination means an individual received both doses of a two-dose vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer) or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. If you are not fully vaccinated, call the Medical Clinic at (360) 466-3167 to make an appointment. Those who have not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine must get the 1st dose by Oct. 2 to receive the 2nd dose by Oct. 31.

Tribal members and employees must apply and provide proof of vaccination by Nov. 14, 2021.

*Swinomish Tribal Members – an online application will be available later this week, or you can pick one up from the Swinomish Accounting Department.  You will receive your incentive from the Tribe and not from the Casino.

*Non-Swinomish Team Members – application forms will be available in Human Resources and under the HR Bulletin Board in the breakroom. Proof of vaccination from the State Health Dept. or the Authorization to Release Information must be attached to the application. You can obtain your vaccination record by registering at https://wa.myir.net. Vaccination cards for the purpose of the SITC Incentive Program will not be accepted.

*New Hires – application forms will be processed after 90 days of employment.

The $400 incentive will be included on your paycheck and is subject to payroll taxes and 401k contribution; thus, the increase in your check will be less than $400.

COVID-19 Delta Variant Update

UPDATED: 8/23/2021 | 3:15pm

Team Members

Swinomish Casino & Lodge continues to work with the Swinomish Public Health and the Swinomish Tribal Senate in an effort to slow the spread of COVID 19.  Unfortunately, the new cases in the area are the Delta variant. The Delta variant is more contagious than the previous variants. In an effort to reduce the spread, Swinomish Casino & Lodge will require all guests and team members to wear masks and social distance. Swinomish Casino & Lodge will continue work with and follow the recommendations from Swinomish Public heath in order to provide a safe environment for our guests and team members.

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or feeling “under the weather” please contact your supervisor or manager immediately. If you have tested positive for COVID- 19 contact your supervisor or manager immediately and stay home. We will work with the Public Health team to determine the day you may return to work.

Team members are required to have their temperature checked when arriving for work and when coming back in the employee entrance.

It is important that we follow the COVID safety protocol at all times whether working or not. Please remember to continue to be diligent in practicing COVID protocols.  An easy way to remember this is the by using the 3 Cs and 3 Ws.

Avoid the 3 Cs:

Closed spaces with poor ventilation

Crowded places

Close Contact situations

Practice the 3 Ws

Wear your mask

Watch your distance

Wash your hands

Team members and guests will be required to follow the updated mask policy.  Any team member or guest not wearing their masks correctly and not adhering to the policy will be asked to leave.

We realize there are many unanswered questions.  We are working with Swinomish public health to navigate through the changes since the emergence of the Delta variant and the rise in cases. Thank you for doing your part to keep each other and our guests safe.   We appreciate your continued cooperation and understanding as we continue to navigate through the COVID storm and the curve balls that are thrown our way.

With Gratitude,

COVID – Management Team
